HuRuf Journal: International Journal of Arabic Applied Linguistics (e-ISSN: 2798-8821; p-ISSN: 2798-9402) is a scholarly journal published by Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Appearing twice a year (June and December), the journal publishes high-quality empirical and theoretical work in Arabic applied linguistics and stylistics, including language learning and teaching, Arabic for specific purposes, classroom and community language practices, sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics (attitudes, beliefs, identity, motivation), as well as applications of syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, pragmatics, discourse, and corpus studies to Arabic.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope and originality, followed by a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two expert reviewers. HuRuf Journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, and brief reports that advance theory, method, or practice in Arabic applied linguistics. Manuscripts are published in English (with Arabic data and examples where relevant), and the journal upholds internationally recognized standards of research integrity and publication ethics.
