Publishing Institution and Ownership

FUADUNA: Jurnal Kajian Keagamaan dan Kemasyarakatan is institutionally owned and published by Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, a higher education institution located in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The University provides the institutional framework required for the continuity, accountability, and sustainability of the journal.

The publisher is responsible for supporting the journal's administrative and technical infrastructure, including the electronic publishing platform, publication records, digital dissemination, and institutional support required for the editorial and production workflow.

Institutional ownership does not imply interference in scholarly decisions. Decisions concerning manuscript evaluation, peer review, acceptance, revision, rejection, correction, and other scholarly matters remain under the authority of the journal's qualified editorial leadership.

2

Editorial Governance and Management

FUADUNA operates through a defined editorial structure consisting of the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Editorial Board, reviewers, and editorial support personnel. The division of responsibilities is intended to maintain academic quality, accountability, continuity, and independence throughout the editorial process.

Editor-in-Chief
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulfan Taufik, M.A.Hum
Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, Indonesia

The Editor-in-Chief provides overall scholarly and editorial leadership, maintains the journal's academic standards, oversees manuscript evaluation, and holds responsibility for final editorial decisions. The Editor-in-Chief may consult Associate Editors, Editorial Board members, and independent expert reviewers as appropriate.

Associate Editors support manuscript screening, reviewer selection, editorial communication, quality control, and other scholarly functions assigned by the Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board contributes disciplinary expertise, academic direction, and institutional diversity to the journal.

Current editorial appointments, academic profiles, and institutional affiliations are maintained on the Editorial Team page.

3

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions at FUADUNA are based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, ethical compliance, and the contribution of the manuscript to knowledge.

The publisher, institutional authorities, sponsors, financial contributors, authors, reviewers, and other parties must not improperly influence decisions concerning acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. Administrative and financial processes are kept separate from academic assessment.

Editorial Independence Principle
Payment of publication charges, institutional affiliation, professional status, academic rank, or personal relationships must not guarantee acceptance or receive preferential editorial treatment.
4

Peer Review and Editorial Decision-Making

Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process. Each eligible manuscript is normally reviewed by at least two qualified independent reviewers with relevant expertise. A third reviewer may be appointed when additional scholarly assessment is required.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory and form an important part of the editorial assessment; however, they do not independently determine the final outcome. The final decision remains the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief, with consultation from Associate Editors and the Editorial Board where appropriate.

Further information is available in the Peer Review Process and Publication Ethics policies.

5

Conflicts of Interest and Editorial Integrity

Editors and reviewers are expected to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that may affect the impartial evaluation of a manuscript. A person with a material conflict should not exercise editorial authority over the relevant submission.

Manuscripts must be handled confidentially. Unpublished data, arguments, ideas, personal information, reviewer identities, and editorial correspondence obtained through the review process must not be used for personal or institutional advantage.

FUADUNA is committed to fair editorial assessment without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, religious belief, institutional affiliation, academic seniority, or other characteristics unrelated to the scholarly quality of the work.

6

Institutional Support and Financial Transparency

The journal receives institutional, administrative, and technical support from Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, including scholarly publishing support through Rumah Jurnal UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi.

FUADUNA currently applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 in accordance with the journal's published fee information. Publication fees are used to support journal publishing activities and are administered separately from scholarly evaluation and editorial decision-making.

Authors should rely only on official journal or publisher communication regarding payment procedures. Financial transactions must not create an entitlement to acceptance, preferential peer review, favourable reviewer recommendations, or guaranteed publication.

7

Open Access, Copyright, and Preservation

FUADUNA provides immediate open access to its published content. Authors retain copyright and published works are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, subject to the journal's copyright and licensing terms.

Published content is digitally preserved to support long-term availability and scholarly continuity. FUADUNA uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) as part of its digital preservation strategy and also permits authors to deposit published works in appropriate repositories in accordance with the journal's open-access policy.

See the journal's Archiving Policy for further information.

8

Publication Schedule and Operational Continuity

FUADUNA is published twice a year, with regular issues scheduled for June and December. The publisher and editorial team share responsibility for maintaining publication continuity, accurate metadata, accessible archives, and timely updates to public journal information.

Editorial appointments, journal policies, publication information, and other governance-related information should be reviewed and updated whenever organizational or policy changes occur so that information displayed on the journal website remains accurate and auditable.

9

Accountability and Public Information

The publisher and editorial leadership are jointly responsible for maintaining accurate public information regarding the journal's identity, governance, editorial procedures, publication policies, access model, fees, ethical standards, and contact information.

Affiliations listed beside individual editors or reviewers indicate their professional or academic affiliations only. Such affiliations do not imply ownership, co-publishing status, financial control, or institutional authority over FUADUNA unless this is expressly stated in an official publishing agreement.

Corrections to inaccurate governance information should be made promptly. Questions concerning manuscript decisions should be directed to the editorial office, while administrative matters should be addressed through the journal's official communication channels.
