Tanfizi : Journal of Islamic Constitutional and Political Law is a refereed legal and political studies journal that aims to comprehensively explore the interaction between Islamic constitutional law and political thought in modern Muslim societies. The journal aspires to contribute to the advancement of scholarly discourse in the fields of Islamic political systems, governance, constitutionalism, and public policy through an integrative approach.
Tanfizi is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Sharia Faculty, Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The journal publishes research articles and conceptual papers related to the theory and practice of Islamic constitutional law and Islamic political studies (See Focus and Scope). Articles are published twice a year, in June and December.
Since its establishment in 2025, Tanfizi : Journal of Islamic Constitutional and Political Law Law has consistently sought to provide a platform for academic inquiry on pressing constitutional and political issues in the Islamic world. In 2025, the journal began publishing under the Open Journal System (OJS) and became registered with Crossref. All published articles in Journal of Islamic Constitutional & Political Law are assigned a DOI for long-term citation and accessibility.
