Abstract

Women participation plays an important  role in supporting family economy, even in supporting national economy in order to succeeding national development wholly. Cul- ture which tends to be patriachal causes women as one of group which is marginalized in education, health, and economy. To raise women’s prosperity, it needs some efforts. One of them is trough non formal education, viz, life-skill training. One of LSM which cares for women empowering is Lembaga Kajian, Konsultasi dan Bantuan Hukum (LKKBH) STAIN Bukittinggi, mainly work in advocating education either formal or non-formal. One of non- formal education in empowering society is women education programe which is mainly for women having problem in their family. Program of LKKBH for the future is designed base on some aspects: accompaning and advocating, educating, study, and research, serving and relieving, aswellas reinvorcing network, information and documentation. Keywords:  Role, LKKBH, women  empowering
