Journal History

  • June 30, 2021: Knowbase: International Journal of Knowledge in Database published its inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1, featuring eight original research articles. Since its establishment, the journal has been published biannually in June and December.
  • 2021: Knowbase was officially assigned e-ISSN 2797-7501 and p-ISSN 2798-0758, strengthening its formal recognition as a scholarly periodical in database systems, information technology, and computer science.
  • May 23, 2024: Knowbase achieved its first national journal accreditation at SINTA Rank 4 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 72/E/KPT/2024.
  • June 30, 2025: Knowbase published Volume 5, Number 1, containing six original research articles written or co-written by 19 authors from nine institutional affiliations and three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This issue marked an important development in strengthening the journal's international authorship and academic collaboration.
  • 2026: Knowbase achieved a significant advancement in national journal accreditation by being upgraded from SINTA Rank 4 to SINTA Rank 2. This achievement reflects the journal's continuing improvement in editorial governance, article quality, peer-review management, publication consistency, citation performance, and international scholarly contribution.
  • Present: Knowbase continues to strengthen its editorial quality, international collaboration, publication ethics, peer-review management, digital visibility, and global academic networks. The journal is committed to becoming a reputable international publication in database systems, data science, artificial intelligence, information systems, machine learning, and knowledge engineering.
