Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Alhurriyah: Jurnal Hukum Islam Brief submission guideline:

  1. The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines in Laws Studies (Islam and Conventional).
  2. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
  3. Format : The manuscript should be typed in MS document format with Garamond, size 12 pts, one and a half-space, A4 paper roughly 12 to 20 pages. All manuscripts should be sent to the website: https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/alhurriyah/index 
  4. Title : The article should be written in Indonesia or English. The title of the article is written not more than 16 words. The title of the article, the name of its author or authors, email address, and institution are on the top of article.
  5. Abstract : All submissions must include 150-200 words abstract and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of the research paper should contain title, purpose and method, and research finding, and conclusion. Meanwhile, the abstract of non-research paper includes the title, purpose, discussion, and conclusion.
  6. Quotations, passages, and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into English.
  7. Full research papers have broad relevance and contribute something new to Educational Studies. It includes:
    • Background: To explain the theoretical background, related research, the practical applications and the nature and purpose of the article.
    • Results (Findings) and Discussion: Results should be clear and concise. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.
    • Conclusion: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a discussion or results and discussion section.
    • References: References are listed in alphabetical order. Each listed reference is cited in the text, and Non-research papers include major themes, logical development of the theme, the author's point of view, implications, inferences, or conclusions.
  8. References and notes should be written alphabetically as follows:
    • References. The literature listed in the References contains only the sources referenced or included in the article. Please use Reference Manager Applications  Mendeley.
    • Referral sources should provide 80% of journal articles, proceedings, or research results from the last five years. Writing techniques bibliography, using the system cites Chicago Manual of the Style 17th edition (full note, no ibid).
  9. All submitted papers are subject to a review of the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers.
  10. The editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that are not in accordance with this guideline.
  11. All URL addresses in the text are activated.
  12. Author of articles published will receive free one copy of the journal and ten off-prints.
  13. The text address the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the OUTLINE, which is found in About the Journal.
  14. The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
