PERMASALAHAN KOMPETENSI GURU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH (Studi Kasus di SMA Negeri Kota Gorontalo)

Abstract

In education word which especially related in learning in schools, teachers have strategic place and decide high and low of quality of education.  However, strategic  posi- tion of them in improving quality of education, it is affected by their professionalism. For a teacher who has a minimal professionalism should be proved by educational backround which being relevant to his /her skill, teaching experiences, and mastering to competency and authority of a teacher in classroom. In history learning in SMA Negeri, it seems quiet different between teacher scientific background and their duty in teaching. Their scientific backgrounds  are economic study program,  BK, PPKn. Then, they teach lesson of history. This difference influences teachers professionalism in managing learning of history.
