PENGARUH MINAT MAHASISWA MENJADI KONSELOR TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGUASAAN TEKNIK KONSELING

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the the influence of interest to be counselor toward the mastery of counseling technique. The research was conduct at STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi. The Population of the research was the students of the fourth semester of the Guidance and Counseling study program  at STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Djam- bek Bukittinggi in 2012/2013. The kind of the research is corellational and expost facto. Two parallel classes were selected randomly.  The data were collected by administrating statistics test. The validity and reliability of the test were tested. The data were analysed by using  F test and corellational analysis. The result of the research showed that there is the significant influence on the students’ interest to be counselor toward the mastery of counseling technique, the tendency of students’ interest to be counselor is high as well as the result of technique mastery.
