The findings reveal that living Hadith plays a crucial role in bridging Islamic teachings with local culture, strengthening regional religious identities, and fostering harmony between religion and local wisdom. Additionally, this approach addresses the limitations of rigid and textual traditional normative methods by exploring the actualization of Hadith in social practices and traditions. Living Hadith research contributes to critically evaluating, improving, and reforming traditions to align with Islamic teachings while promoting religious moderation through tolerant, inclusive, and adaptive understandings of Indonesia's cultural diversity. Searches through Dimensions identified 220 scholarly articles on living Hadith, while VOSviewer analysis found 100 researchers contributing to this field. This study affirms that living Hadith development in Indonesia has significantly advanced since the early 2000s, driven by contributions from academics at UIN, IAIN, and STAIN. It highlights the importance of living Hadith in ensuring the relevance of Islam to contemporary changes while preserving the values of togetherness in a pluralistic society.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Edriagus Saputra, Nana Gustianda, Novizal Wendry, Arwansyah bin Kirin, Zakiyah Zakiyah, Afrinaldi Afrinaldi, Amal Syahidin, Alven Putra https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8599 Integrated Counseling Study of Islamic Values and Minangkabau Culture: A Literature Review 2024-08-29T13:38:56+00:00 Warlan Sukandar Abdul Rashid bin Abdul Aziz Rezki Perdani Sawai
Cultural and religious values are integral to the life of the Minangkabau people. However, many studies have not considered integrated counseling with Minangkabau values and culture. For this reason, this research aims to analyze articles related to integrated counseling studies of Islamic values and Minangkabau culture. This study uses a literature review approach and internet search engines such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and Academia.edu to find articles related to the study theme. This research is the first literature review research to examine integrated counseling with Islamic values and Minangkabau culture. The research results show that studies related to integrated counseling with Islamic values and Minangkabau culture are still minimal. The results of this study have resulted in the discovery of eleven articles related to the theme studied. Nine articles have the theme of counseling and Minangkabau culture, and only two discuss counseling, Islam, and Minangkabau culture. The results of this research can be used as a reference for future researchers. They can also be a reference for the government to pay attention to local wisdom values in solving community problems in West Sumatera.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Warlan Sukandar, Abdul Rashid bin Abdul Aziz, Rezki Perdani Sawai https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8625 Challenges in Implementing the Scientific Paradigm at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang: A Case Study of the Constitutional Law Study Program 2024-09-19T08:53:36+00:00 Muhammad Taufik Aidil Aulya Fauzi Yati Desip Trinanda
This study examines the challenges in implementing the scientific paradigm of Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol Padang (UIN IB Padang) in the Constitutional Law Study Program (Siyāsah Shar’iyyah). A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The findings reveal that UIN IB Padang adopts an interaction-dialogical paradigm, which has been implemented in the Constitutional Law Study Program (Siyāsah Shar’iyyah), as reflected in the curriculum structure. However, this implementation remains formalistic, as lecturers have not fully applied the paradigm in teaching. This is due to the lecturers' lack of updated knowledge regarding the interaction-dialogical paradigm and the absence of specific teaching guidelines provided by UIN IB Padang. Additionally, the development of the Constitutional Law Study Program (Siyāsah Shar’iyyah) faces challenges within the context of Indonesian Constitutional Law. This study recommends that UIN IB Padang develop a guideline for implementing the interaction-dialogical paradigm and establish a dedicated institution to support its application and development.
2025-01-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammad Taufik, Aidil Aulya, Fauzi Yati, Desip Trinanda https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8569 Cultural Interaction of Bengkulu City Communities with Muhammadiyah Education in History Context 2024-08-14T05:06:32+00:00 Dedy Novriadi Siti Misbah Syubli Syubli Nilda Susilawati
Abstract

This research aims to analyze the interaction between the culture of the people of Bengkulu City and Muhammadiyah education from a historical perspective, especially related to the controversy over the acceptance of religious purification teachings and the contribution of Muhammadiyah education to traditions that have long existed in society. This research was carried out using a historical approach through information from the figures involved and knowing the history of the development of Muhammadiyah education in Bengkulu City and several other primary and secondary sources. The study results found that Muhammadiyah education in Bengkulu City began with a debate between Muhammadiyah figures and kaum tuo (the old generation). Muhammadiyah's teachings focus on the purification of Islamic teachings in the culture of the Bengkulu City community, which contained many mystical and polytheistic (shirk) elements. Finally, the approach of Muhammadiyah figures led to cultural interaction with Islamic teachings as long as they did not conflict with Islamic teachings in religious activities, death, marriage, art, music, and curriculum in Muhammadiyah educational institutions through local cultural content. This research has implications for developing a curriculum based on local cultural values so that it can improve character and identity among students.

2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Dedy Novriadi, Siti Misbah, Syubli, Nilda Susilawati https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8761 Reconstruction of Theological Narrative: Integration of Local Wisdom into Religious Practices for Social Cohesion in Multicultural Societies of Southeast Asia 2024-11-15T04:07:15+00:00 Akhsin Ridho Aslam Sa'ad
This paper addresses the integration of local wisdom into theological narratives to enhance social cohesion in multicultural societies. The main question focuses on how religious teachings can adapt to local cultural values, making them more relevant and inclusive. Despite previous studies highlighting the benefits of this integration, a comprehensive analysis of its practical implications remains limited. This research contributes a novel perspective by systematically reviewing existing literature to establish patterns and themes that support social harmony through contextual theology. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the study identifies strategies, challenges, and outcomes of incorporating local traditions into religious practices. The findings of the study suggest that the adaptation of theological narratives to local cultures has the potential to improve social harmony and reduce tensions between groups. This integration also enriches religious practices, making them more inclusive and contextual according to the cultural characteristics of the local community. The conclusion of this study offers new insights into contextual theology in plural societies, where local wisdom plays a vital role in creating peace and social harmony.
2025-01-17T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Akhsin Ridho, Aslam Sa'ad https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8656 Navigating the Digital Landscape: How Nahdlatul Ulama Volunteers Use Social Media for Organizational Promotion 2024-10-11T14:14:08+00:00 Dony Arung Triantoro
This article aims to investigate how the digital volunteers of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) utilize social media to promote the organization. The study employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through online interviews and content analysis of the Instagram account @nucreativemedia. This study will address three questions: First, what motivates digital volunteers to create the Instagram account @nucreativemedia? Second, what types of content are promoted on this account? Third, how do digital volunteers present NU content on Instagram? Based on these questions, the findings indicate that: First, the initiative to create the Instagram account @nucreativemedia is driven by the desire to counter radical and conservative Islamic movements on social media. Second, the content promoted includes NU scholars, fiqh and worship, social-political issues, and public facilities associated with NU, such as pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), hospitals, universities, and products. Third, the Instagram account @nucreativemedia enhances its content through a combination of colors, images, and audio that reflect NU culture. This promotional effort further reinforces NU's position and relevance in the online space.
2025-01-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Dony Arung Triantoro https://ejournal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/islamt/article/view/8650 Opportunities and Challenges for Islamic Education in Society 5.0 2024-10-08T10:42:45+00:00 Irfan Setia Permana W Naomi Ainun Hasanah
This study thoroughly investigates the opportunities and challenges encountered by Islamic education in adapting to the dynamics of Society 5.0.
